M.P. Crowell Ltd. was established in 1961 when the late Mert Crowell purchased the old Capital Theatre and converted it into a furniture store. The building was destroyed by fire in December 1983 and the present building was erected on the same location in 1984.

M.P. Crowell Ltd. is a family run business, with 5 sons working with their father at one time. Currently there are 4 siblings (3 sons and 1 daughter) working at the business.

Crowell’s carry a complete line of furniture including sofas, chairs, recliners, gliders, kitchen sets, entertainment centers, T.V. stands, wall units, coffee and end tables from such suppliers as Best Home, Superstyle, Kroehler, Sauder, and others.

Crowell’s specialize in custom orders where the customer can pick from a variety of fabrics or order items from their wide assortment of catalogues.

M.P. Crowell Ltd. is an authorized dealer for mattresses by Simmons and appliances by Whirlpool, Inglis and Danby.

Crowell’s have been in the flooring business for over 46 years and carry a large selection of carpet, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, ceramic and cork from suppliers such as Armstrong, Tarkett, Casa Roma, Bruce and Shaw. They have their own expert installers on staff.

Crowell’s provide free delivery, set-up, and removal. Store hours are Monday-Saturday, 8am – 5pm, Fridays 8am – 9pm. Closed Sundays.
